| Scheduled
trips are meant to accommodate both independent travelers and smaller groups
looking for hiking partners and a price break. We are continually matching
up compatible partners with shared interests and capabilities. You can commit
to a trip date on the scheduled calendar, or pick your own date, and we
can post your trip on the Bulletin Board and begin searching for partners.
Custom trips are our specialty.
Let us know
if you'd like us to keep an eye out for a compatible partner.
If we cannot find a group for you to join, your trip will be priced based
on the 1 or 2 person rates listed below.

in our Backpacking Prices ( r/t airfare, local transport, food, gear,
satellite phones, etc...)
We are confident that the combination of the quality of our service and
the price we offer it at - cannot be beat.
In
response to current economic conditions, our 2-person prices have been
reduced by $40 a day per person, and our 3-person prices by $35 a day
per person. In addition, group prices have been based (up until now) on
a 3 person price, regardless of how many additional clients signed up.
We are now introducing a 4+ person price at a rate reduced by $50 per
day per person.
We
hope this gesture enables more people to experience the grandeur of Wrangell
St. Elias National Park.

McCarthy to the backcountry destination and food.
Our Deposit/Cancellation policy is as follows:
A
reservation is secured with a 50% deposit per person.

KWG's Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellation for multi-day trips will incur a $250 per person
cancellation fee. A cancellation made more than 30 days prior to
departure receives a full refund on KWG deposit (after fee). Cancellations
made less than 30 days prior to departure costs client 50% of KWG
deposit. There is no refund on deposits for cancellations made less
than 2 weeks prior to departure.
