2008 Alaska Mountaineering

Remote alpine glaciers
Probing for hidden dangers before setting up the future camp site

The Nabesna Glacier forms the backbone of the mighty Wrangell Mountains. We can set up camp below Mount Blackburn (16,390ft), Rime Peak (12,741 ft), Atna Peak (13,860ft) or Mount Regal (13,845ft).

This is where you'll get the experience of being on a heavily glaciated plateau, where the snow falls year-round and feeds the longest valley glacier in North America. Extreme places like this one are truly rare, and to bask in mountain glory on this scale is a lifetime experience.

This area is a premier place to get away from it all and enjoy life on a glacier. Yes, the climbing and skiing rock!
