Tana Glacier traverse elevation profile

This is a point-to-point adventure from Iceberg Lake onto the West Fork of the Tana Glacier, taking you east across the main body of the Tana and into the landing strip between Ross Green Lake and Granite Creek. Spend the first 2 days exploring the Iceberg Lake area.

We'll spend the next two days feeling small on large expanses of white ice. No glacier experience necessary - 10 miles of ice travel, crossing three moraines. Sneak into Granite Creek, where we'll watch silt banks 40-feet high crumble into the rushing water. Camp on sand along a crystal-clear creek tumbling down from the peaks of Thompson Ridge, Needle Peak, and 5,000 vertical feet of relief to astound you.
